Repairs to Track between Port Shepstone and Izotsha.
There was not much repair work needed to the track. However some of the work was critical such as securing the approaches to the bridges and fixing sleepers on the bridges.
Strapping of the line at at sections was also important. This emphasises the need for the statuary institutions to take over the responsibility for track and infra structure maintenance.
|Unsecured approaches to bridges||No sleepers at approaches to bridges in many places||Two weeks work ensured all approaches were repaired|
|Line strapped as part of emergency repair work to allow trains to run||Spraying of weeds and clearing bush|
